Friends of the Jae Foundation,
I want to do something a little different this week.
I spend a lot of time talking about where we are going, the impact we are making, and the work still in front of us.
But this week, I want to slow down for a minute and talk about our team.
As the Founder of the Jae Foundation, I have incredibly high expectations for the people who choose to be part of this organization.
Why?
Because what has been entrusted to us matters.
I expect our team to steward Jae’s story well.
I expect them to steward every dollar someone gives us well.
I expect them to steward our relationships, our programs, our facilities, and most importantly, the people we have the opportunity to serve.
I expect them to care deeply. To work hard. To keep getting better. To remember that behind every pair of boots, every retreat, every Boot-Check, and every number we report is a person.
Those are high expectations.
And sometimes, because I spend so much time looking at what’s next and pushing us toward what we can become, I don’t spend enough time saying two simple words:
Thank you!!
So this week, I want to change that.
To every member of the Jae Foundation team—thank you.
Thank you for carrying Jae’s story with CARE.
Thank you for believing in this mission.
Thank you for doing the work that most people never see.
Thank you for loving people well.
And thank you for creating Hope and a Future for so many people throughout Idaho, Wyoming and beyond.
I will always have high expectations. I believe this mission deserves them.
But I never want those expectations to overshadow how grateful I am for the people who show up every day to carry this work forward.
This week, I just want our team to know:
I see you.
I appreciate you.
And I am incredibly thankful for you.
It’s Boot-Check Time!
